Darrick Eugene: Eugene & Associates, PC is a professional corporation formed by Darrick W. Eugene in 2019.  The firm focuses on helping clients understand and navigate government rules and regulations.  Mr. Eugene has experience with education law, as well as state law and regulations regarding a variety of regulated industries.  Mr. Eugene is skilled in legislative drafting and is responsible for state legislation and rules overseeing the practice of geologic storage of carbon dioxide. 

Additionally, in the area of public finance, Mr. Eugene has represented issuers and underwriters as counsel in various debt financing projects.  The Firm has the capability and experience to serve as Co-Bond Counsel and Underwriters’ Counsel to municipalities, transportation providers, higher education authorities, special districts, airports, and other governmental entities.

Darrick Eugene has practiced in the area of public finance since 2004 serving as Bond Counsel and Underwriter’s Counsel.  Mr. Eugene has worked for the State of Texas including the Texas Economic Development Bank, and the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts, the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority, Travis County, and various school districts throughout Texas. 

In addition to forming his own firm, since graduating from law school in 2004, Mr. Eugene was an associate with Vinson & Elkins, LLP and a partner with the law firm of Powell & Leon, LLP.  Mr. Eugene has been licensed to practice law in Texas since 2004.  Darrick has a BA in Government and Economics from the University of Texas at Austin, a Masters in Public Affairs from the LBJ School of Public Affairs and a law degree from UT-Austin.  Mr. Eugene is married to Dr. Chiquita Eugene.  He has three beautiful children Nzingha, Felix and Athena.
