A lifelong Texas resident, Jennifer Allen has spent more than two decades of her career dedicated to working in education, both as a teacher and in K-12 sales. Throughout her tenure in education, she has worked as an educational sales representative for various companies, including Kaplan Early Learning Company, Scantron, Amplify and most recently she has been an independent consultant working with start-up companies to help develop their business plan and build brand awareness. Allen also works at the legislative level and successfully filed two bills during the 86th session and passed one bill during the 87th session.
Allen is a graduate of Midland High School in Midland, Texas, and she holds a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and kinesiology from Angelo State University where she then moved to Dallas to begin her career as a kindergarten and second grade teacher for Dallas ISD.
Allen is an advisory board member for Agape Asia as well as STAR-Texas (Student Transfer Across Rural) and is a frequent guest for events at the Dallas Entrepreneur Center. She is also a member of TASA (Texas Association of School Administrators) and TASB (Texas Association of School Board Members) and TREA (Texas Rural Education Association) and CEF (Coalition for Education Funding).
